The short version
Nubbit is free to play. Play it, enjoy it, don’t cheat or copy it. Purchases and refunds go through the App Store or Google Play. Coins and items live inside the game and have no cash value. If something goes wrong, write to .
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and , the independent developer of Nubbit (“we”, “us”). They cover the Nubbit game, this website and anything else we run for the game. By downloading or playing Nubbit you agree to them; if you don’t agree, please don’t use the game. The terms of the store you got Nubbit from also apply.
2. Who can play
Nubbit is meant for players aged 13 and over. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must read and accept these terms for you.
3. Your licence
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install Nubbit on devices you own or control and to play it for your own, non-commercial enjoyment. You may not:
- copy, modify, translate or redistribute the game, or sell, rent or lend it;
- reverse-engineer or decompile it, except where the law allows this anyway;
- use cheats, bots, exploits or modified versions, or anything that spoils the game or the leaderboards for others;
- use the game in a way that breaks the law or harms other people.
You can end this licence at any time by deleting the game. It also ends if you break these terms.
4. Coins and items
Coins and everything you unlock with them — boards, colours, finishes and the like — are licensed to you for use in the game, not sold. They have no cash value, can’t be exchanged for real money, and can’t be sold or transferred to anyone else. We may adjust prices, rewards and items to keep the game balanced. Your coins and items are stored on your device: if you delete the game or lose the device, they can’t be restored.
5. Purchases and refunds
Coin packs are bought through the App Store or Google Play. The store takes the payment under its own terms, and we never see your payment details. For the same reason, refunds are handled by the store, under its refund policy:
- App Store — request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com;
- Google Play — follow Google Play’s refund instructions.
If you paid but the coins didn’t arrive, write to us with the date of the purchase and we’ll sort it out.
6. Ads
Nubbit shows an ad only when you ask for one, in exchange for an in-game reward. The reward is given once the ad has finished playing. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for what advertisers offer.
7. Leaderboards
Daily puzzle times are shared on leaderboards through Apple Game Center or Google Play Games, under the name you use there. We may remove results that look like cheating and keep a player who cheats off the leaderboards.

How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Our content
Nubbit — its name, logo, pieces, boards, puzzles, art, music and sound — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. Fonts and other third-party materials are used under their own licences. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.
10. Updates and availability
We keep improving the game, so levels, features and items may change, and some updates may be needed to keep playing. We may pause or stop the game or any part of it. We’ll try to give notice in the game where we reasonably can.
11. No warranties
Nubbit is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will always work, be free of bugs or be available on every device.
12. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of the game, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Nubbit, including in-game purchases, in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of . If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim in its courts. If you have a problem, please write to us first — most things can be sorted out quickly.
14. If you got Nubbit from the App Store
The licence to the app is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. You and we agree that these terms are between you and us, not Apple; that we, not Apple, are responsible for the game, its support and maintenance, and for any claims about it; that Apple has no obligation to provide support; that if the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, which will refund the price you paid for it (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation; that Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection, privacy or intellectual property claims; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. embargo and are not on a U.S. list of prohibited or restricted parties.
15. If you got Nubbit from Google Play
Google Play’s Terms of Service also apply. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the game.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version; important changes will also be announced in the game. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
17. General
These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Nubbit. If any part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up. We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to someone who takes over the game; you may not transfer yours.
